To think that disengaging from people is the BEST thing I've learnt from MN?

FILs girlfriend. Absolutely toxic. Always had a problem with my DH. She was vile today on (I know, I know) Facebook and I flipped at her. Been pushing my buttons for a while.

I don't really know this woman. She regularly insults DH, me, and other in-laws. I don't have to see her. Or be around her. I've met her twice in the flesh. So why for the last year have I allowed her to irritate me? Its ridiculous!

So I hit the block button.

Ranted to a friend, ranted to my Dad, and then came and got in bed. And picked up my book not to post on mumsnet and felt free. One less toxic person in my life.

Disengaging from MN when it gets ridiculous is the best thing I have learnt on MN.
