To think that these children are not exactly playing nicely?

DS2 aged 10 has had a fall out with his friends during a game of Minecraft.
As I understand it he was doing something when a thunderstorm came and burnt down their house. They went ballistic started screaming and crying, one of the other children in the game sent him a not particularly nice message and they kicked him from the game. All without letting him say what he saw had happened.
Then today at school another lad who was not online at the time and who DS2 considered to be a really good friend says he has also removed him from his Xbox friends list on the say so of these other boys.
These boys are now going round and telling all the children at school and trying to turn them against my son. They are all in Year 5, aged 9 & 10 except for the one that sent the message who is in Year 3.
I have been really good and kept out of it, but am not impressed with these boys behaviour at all, and needed somewhere to let it out.

Really? Its a stupid game, they'll forget about it within a week.

I would keep teacher informed of dynamics & if possible, myself encourage relationships with the nicer boys. Hopefully it will settle. Mine have had right barnies with friends over Minecraft disasters; so far most of the bust-ups have been forgotten (but at least one incident led to long term rancour).

I am 28 and I would be gutted about a disaster on minecraft. It's taking me 4 days to build my little house.

depends how upset your son is? maybe have a word with the teacher as a heads up.

Thanks for the replies. He is being very stoical about it all but I know the fact the boy he really liked has removed him as really upset him.

It's parents evening next week so will mention it to her then so she is aware.

It's just very annoying that they have done this over an online game.
