I know I am really unreasonable, but it drives me mad when the gate gets left open and the dogs make a run for it.

I sometimes help DS1 do his paper round. Neither of us like doing the 'dog' houses.

Worse thing on the DS1 and DS2 paper rounds are the letterboxes that bite (not the dogs)!

YY Scholes some folk don't seem to want any post. I took all the skin off a knuckle last week trying to shove the paper through.
The ones with brushes are bad too. Can't get anything through the letter box but no draught so that's ok.

I'm more annoyed by postmen or leaflet droppers who leave something sticking out of the flap. It's an invitation to burglars that there's no-one at home to pull it in.

I put the papers all the way through if the letter boxes allow Sallying, and if there's no dog going bonkers behind the door.

While I am at it-what are those metal letter boxes fixed to the wall all about? The newspaper doesn't even fit in it.

Sparkling I know someone who has one of those letter boxes - she got fed up of picking up shit that had been pushed through her letterbox - but when it was a lighted firework, she boarded the letterbox up and got a box...!!
