Next door is being completely redone, there has been a bloke in there all day singing so loud that I can hear him over the DIY noise, through the walls. There isn’t even any music.

Argh! It’s so annoying.

Would I be unreasonable to knock on the door and belt out some tuneless singing back at him? Any suggestions for songs?

At least he is happy in his work.

My DH is a builder, he makes strange noises (can't quite call it singing) but the happier he is the louder he gets..........

Sing him some 80's tunes. how about Wham Rap :)

Or Bob the Builder - that should do the trick.

Elvis.

We had a plumber who did Elvis impersonations and I nearly told him to sod off as we'd rather freeze than listen to another minute. Grin

Grin @ Bob the Builder!

how about changing the words to "next door's builder can he sing it, no he can't"

Starship - We Built This City?

You're not in the West Midlands are you Saucia? Sounds a lot like my Dad!

Ah bless him, I would lend him a wee radio... I can't do DIY without a bit of Sad FM and a bit of a singalong!
