I use an old toothbrush for the shower.

At least the MN germ-patrol is slightly less likely to have a go for using a toilet brush in the shower than in the [gasp] toilet

I use a washing up brush

Oh, I do know about the toilet brush thing. But I wouldn't be using it in the toilet, so that is OK... :)

I just thought - brush to get in corners - long handle so I don't have to climb in the shower to reach the corners... surely it is brilliance? Although Now you mention it a washing up brush would have a similar effect, and might have met with less resistance...
