To not want to hear about Juice + ever again ( lighthearted)

Usernamegone · 02/02/2014 14:52

One of my friends is taking Juice plus and told me about it. I told her that I am not interested (as I'm sceptical) as I am focused on trying to actually eat more fruit and vegetables.

Since then she has been contantly putting things of Facebook about this and has sent me messages on Facebook and text messages.

Aibu to want her to STFU about Juice plus as I have told her I'm not interested

I don't mind/care if other people take it and think its fab, but I just want them to stop evangelizing about it to me!

YANBU!

I'm sick of the Juice plus hype on FB now aswell.
Been invited to several groups, offered it by a few people and I can't help but think - I'm overweight, and yes I know it but jeezo stop trying to tell me!

sparklyma · 02/02/2014 16:31

Yanbu. My fb is full of someone I know trying to flog this shite.

Dawndonnaagain · 02/02/2014 16:40

Just googled because I hadn't heard of this. The homepage asks: 'Struggling to eat healthier?'
If you can't ask the question properly how can you be trusted to provide a safe product?

Labootin · 02/02/2014 16:44

Same as sparklyma

I am blocking people almost as much as topics on MN.

mrspremise · 02/02/2014 17:10

It's a stupid pyramid scheme anyway...

Sparklymommy · 02/02/2014 17:36

I this the same as the Vi diet that was around last year? A friend of mine was royally stitched up with that one! Yanbu at all. Stupid pyramid selling diet plans. They only work until you stop using them!!!

frugalfuzzpig · 02/02/2014 17:41

Never heard of it! Off to google I go.

But YANBU anyway

PrincessScrumpy · 02/02/2014 17:48

The ultimate annoying diet status. I have a friend selling it - I don't want it! Also had another friend tell me how amazing sw is and how I should go along with her. I've done sw twice so not against it but at the tune I was a healthy bmi and didn't think I needed to diet!

ilovepowerhoop · 02/02/2014 17:55

havent heard of juice+ but one friend was peddling the Body by Vi stuff and another does Herbalife

frugalfuzzpig · 02/02/2014 18:07

We have someone selling monavie around here. Can't remember exactly what it is though as I lost interest pretty quickly Hmm

They have repeatedly tried to recruit us though... Smile, nod, back away...

WoodBurnerBabe · 02/02/2014 18:13

Never heard of it, so I just had a quick look at the website and am still none the wiser! Lots of pumped up hype speak and very little on what it actually is and does. I'm guessing it's a con of some sort.

OddBoots · 02/02/2014 18:17

I had someone going on about aloe vera gubbins a while back, thankfully they shushed up after a while. It's very annoying, isn't it?

Goldendandelion · 02/02/2014 18:30

I have 5 friends on facebook selling this. I have hidden a couple of them as they post about nothing else and it is very boring and annoying.

Prettykitty111 · 02/02/2014 18:49

Wasnt this whole thread on here a week ago?

Usernamegone · 02/02/2014 19:42

I've got people plugging herbal life and Body by Vi as well!

I've got an idea - let's focus on eating actual nutritious food rather than pills!

NotSoChicAfterAll · 02/02/2014 19:44

I'm so sick of seeing this on my Facebook too! They ask you to put pictures on Facebook of your progress... Basically stood in your bra and knickers in a slumped position for te before photo, then another the same just stood straight, with tummy sucked in

WoodBurnerBabe · 02/02/2014 20:26

Yeah, I don't care what diet I'm following, but there will be no photos of me on the internet in me skimpies. Don't want to break the interweb, now do we?

What happened to eat less and move more? Works OK usually just limited to about 2lbs a week not a gazillion stone in 8 days which goes straight back on and is mostly water anyway

carlywurly · 02/02/2014 20:52

Yanbu - I'm so bored of the body by vi and herbal life crap on Facebook too.
I've lost 2 stone since September eating tasty normal food and doing some exercise. It isn't really rocket science.
Much cheaper and easier to sustain too Smile

ToootSweet · 02/02/2014 21:19

I was going to look into the juice plus as I just don't eat enough fruit.
Is it a big con?
sparkly why was your friend stitched up by body by Vi?
Know loads of people selling this and they seem to be making a fortune.

CoteDAzur · 02/02/2014 21:22

YANBU.

Bodicea · 02/02/2014 21:32

The woman I used to go to massages for kept going on about it. I just smiled and nodded then forgot about it. The third or something time I googled it and realised it was a pyramid scheme. She still kept wittering on about it when I politely declined. Needles to stay I stopped going to her for massages after a while and that was one of the reasons

MarjorieChardem · 02/02/2014 21:33

YANBU! I have distanced myself from a previously quite good friend because of this shit! She is obsessed and thinks it's going to make her millions. The last straw was her sending me information via PM when I got pregnant that implied that by not taking this amazing product I had somehow contributed to my prev MC! Angry
That combined with her other obsession with the law of attraction (again that I had somehow attracted losing my baby) has had me hiding all get updates. A shame as she is actually a nice person. Just deluded. And tactless.

ToootSweet · 02/02/2014 22:02

Looked at juice +. £80 gets you 8 bottles of vitamins - 4 fruit and 4 veg. This seems reasonable to me or can I buy cheaper/better elsewhere?

frugalfuzzpig · 02/02/2014 22:07

The last straw was her sending me information via PM when I got pregnant that implied that by not taking this amazing product I had somehow contributed to my prev MC!

That's beyond 'tactless' that's just plain nasty :( Angry

frugalfuzzpig · 02/02/2014 22:08

A tenner a bottle?! How many days' worth is in a bottle?
