It's my favourite. It's been teasing me since after Christmas and now I have a sore face and ears (sinuses) and a bit of chocolate orange and a cup of tea would make me feel sooooo much better. He told !e earlier we could open it later... It's now later.

So whack it and unwrap it! If he doesn't want it, more for you!

AlwaysDancing1234 · 25/01/2014 22:20

Tap and unwrap definitely! Hmmm I could eat a choc orange right now!

youmakemydreams · 25/01/2014 22:24

Tbf I had one and an assortment box that I never shared at Christmas but there is a huge box of Thorntons chocolates in the cupboard I don't eat so he can.
Just making tea then I'll get it out. Grin kettles on if you want a share dancing.

I could never understand "Tap and unwrap". It's never like it is in the adverts...it's more like "Tap, whack, bash the shit out of it with a hammer and then hoover up the crumbs whilst savouring the one lone segment that survives in tact"

Not quite as catchy though is it?

donttellmetokeepcalm · 25/01/2014 22:41

wait till he's not looking and scoff the lot...as you say he has the thorntons so totally reasonable

MikeWazowski · 25/01/2014 22:43

Ha, reminds me of when I was a child and had a chocolate orange for Xmas. I wanted to eat it in the middle of the night and so couldn't 'tap' it against the wall (we all know they need a lot more than a tap) so I banged it against my head so as not to wake anyone, I can still remember the pain... worth it though. I would demand he opens it immediately

Beccadugs · 25/01/2014 22:48

ME TOO! But he won't, selfish git.

youmakemydreams · 25/01/2014 22:54

I made us both tea and have sat down on the couch unwrapping it. Had to search for it. He'd moved it after ds2 seen it this morning.
Oh it's soooo good. He says I can eat it all if I get up and bring him the Thorntons box.
Haha mike did you actually manage to break it?

thats true love right there

MikeWazowski · 25/01/2014 23:10

I'm very pleased for you that you've finally got your hands on it, and yes I did manage to break it eventually, how funny that 30 ish years on and I can still remember it, don't try the head technique yourself though, it bloody hurts!

youmakemydreams · 25/01/2014 23:25

Should I admit I've eaten a big chunk of it and feel a bit sick now?

OP posts:
Amy106 · 25/01/2014 23:45

So sorry to hear you're sick from it. Just the thought of chocolate orange is making me hungry.

HeadfirstThroughTheTimeVortex · 26/01/2014 00:17

I want a chocolate orange Shock

MusicalEndorphins · 26/01/2014 01:18

Aww,sorry, I guess it is too sweet for you when you're ill. That is like me, when sick, I sometime crave something cold like ice cream, then feel sick after eating it.
I have a chocolate orange on the cabinet waiting...(with a card with cash in it) it is for the paper boy, he hasn't been around since before Christmas.
I had some other chocolate for him, and ate it and then had to replace it. Blush

Coumarin · 26/01/2014 06:13

You need to try Divine orange chocolate if you like Chocolate oranges. No satisfying whacking on the corner of the hearth though.

youmakemydreams · 26/01/2014 09:26

Grin musical I did that with some wine I had for a friend.
I think I did fancy it. I'd been picking for a couple of days not really fancying anything then nothing but that would do. I've hidden the rest to go back to later though.
Divine chocolate orange???? Why have I not tries this?
