The neck and nominate is a rather stupid craze

There seems to be a brand new craze called neck and nominate.

The videos I have seen are rather foolish.

Why are people even doing it, is it to be seen as cool or the prove something.

Maybe foolish to you but our local sports club has been having a great time submitting different video's since the beginning of the season! Children, parents, wives/girlfriends and animals all involved. There's not much to be cheery about sometimes so if it's something people find fun I would say that it is not foolish
(btw, a lot of them don't drink alcohol so it's not about getting smashed )

I thought neck and nominate was all about dares to drink (neck) alcohol in unusual (or unsafe) situations. What is the non alcoholic version?

I've never seen it, haven't noticed any social media being 'dominated' by it, and don't believe it's that widespread.

I have got to seperate groups of friends doing this on fb. dull dull dull.
