To think £65 per day for childcare is a bit pricey?

Hi,

I've just moved to east London and enquired at the local nursery, and the cost is £65 a day. Is it just me that finds that a bit expensive? It's just a bog standard nursery.

I suspect it is normal for London but that is still very expensive. Especially when you only get £243 each in childcare vouchers.

Would a childminder be the same? How about a nannyshare?
