What browser are you using? If it's Internet Explorer then that's your problem right there.
try downloading chrome - I did 2 years ago and never looked back

Mine is ok - have you got anything running in the background like a virus scan?

Have you got ad-block installed? I had to download it when the flash adverts got to much for my crappy little netbook to cope with and MN runs so much better now.
