The one with the old man and the westie. And they visit his wife's grave. And then they sit in the sun eating lunch and you know that's his best and only friend.

Every time the bloody thing comes on I see DH after I am dead, alone and with only his little dog for company, except HE IS ALLERGIC TO BLOODY DOGS so he won't even have the dog. And I howl.

We are 37 and 35 Confused

It makes me cry too. And ds1 (he also cries at the water aid advert and the save the children one but tells us all he just has hayfever!)

WorraLiberty · 09/01/2014 23:35

I'd worry about the howling part RJ Grin

Have you found yourself chasing tennis balls or licking your own arse in the last week or so?

WelshMaenad · 09/01/2014 23:35

How is he with fish? He could drop little bits of his post graveside lunch into the bowl.

RhondaJean · 09/01/2014 23:37

He would be fine with a fish, that idea has cheered me right up.

I'm sending you the chiropractors bill for that one worra.

Did you see traffic cops tonight? There was a 91 year old man who was on his way to holland to meet up with his army buddies from ww2. He had no family. He had a crash on the way to the ferry. The police arranged for him to hire a car, he was going to be away for 5 weeks. I had a tear in my eye. The voice over at the end said he died in holland. It was really sad.

RhondaJean · 09/01/2014 23:41

No I didn't see that. Oh jeez. I hope he made it and saw his friends.

AtAmber I saw that a few months back

The Police were so lovely and helpful to him

RoseRedder · 09/01/2014 23:48

he might buy 100 guinea pigs and visit your grave with them all

AtAmber · 09/01/2014 23:49

Yes. It said he was with his friends. He was lovely, he was planning to do a parachute jump while he was there. At least he was with his friends when he died because he had no one here. (Sob). The police were great weren't they?

RhondaJean · 09/01/2014 23:57

He is allergic to guinea pigs too

I know Amber. Finding a 91yr old a hire car and insurance to enable him to drive from Britain to Holland was never going to be easy!

RJ, how about a pet rock?

KatoPotatoHoHo · 10/01/2014 00:02

How about a furby boom?

Binkyridesagain · 10/01/2014 00:05

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_Hairless_Dog

Would this do him?

RhondaJean · 10/01/2014 00:06

Ok we have options

-furby boom (might work but could be noisy in the graveyard)

-goldfish (hard work getting to my grave with it in a bowl)

  • hairless dog (he needs to move somewhere warm)

Why is life so difficult!

OP posts:
RhondaJean · 10/01/2014 00:06

Oh I missed the rock - that might be best. And cheapest.

He could bring a potato ......how would you feel about a potato?

He could plant it at your grave and it will provide chips for all your grandchildren

Binkyridesagain · 10/01/2014 00:09

He wouldn't have to live somewhere warm. You could buy the dog one of these pet-family.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=109

RhondaJean · 10/01/2014 00:09

I'm not sure how I would feel about a potato but I am starting to think none of you are taking my distress seriously Sad
