It's all bickering MILs, PILs, DILs and SILs and lots of "he said, she said, they said". Except we only hear one side, of course.

We need to introduce the MN lie detector.

In any online discussion there will only ever be one side presented, unless someone recognises themselves being written about.

Just a thought, has that happened at all?

MardyBra · 05/01/2014 12:30

It has happened a few times in the past. Very entertaining. There was the kids' party hijack thread once.

I imagine a lot of OPs wearing shellsuits tbh.

candycoatedwaterdrops · 05/01/2014 12:35

It's been like this for a while.

Chivetalking · 05/01/2014 12:37

I have kicked round the internet for years and never seen anyone recognise themselves as the subject of a thread Angry

I'm feeling torn between deprivation and hope now Grin

Boaty · 05/01/2014 12:38

Grin Mardy

ps I only wear tracksuits when I am actually playing sport Wink

LittleDoris · 05/01/2014 12:39

Everyone has dramas in their life, family members they dislike.

The Jeremy Kyle show just put all that on TV. And only a certain type of person is going to want to air their dirty laundry on national TV.

If that show had never been created, there would still be people being pissed off at something in their lives.

ilovesooty · 05/01/2014 12:40

Not to mention the OPs beginning with "So..." as if they're about to launch into a conversation where they expect people to be hanging on every word.

candycoatedwaterdrops · 05/01/2014 12:40

LOL at shell suits. Oh and greasy hair? Seriously, I'm not vain but if I was going on TV, I'd wash my bloody hair!! Secret Jezza fan

DameDeepRedBetty · 05/01/2014 12:41

The depressing thing is, time was that sort of thread would usually turn out to be a bingo/spoof one. Now nine out of ten are turning out to be real.

I remember the kid's party one - if that was any sort of hoax, it was an incredibly elaborate one.

McSnail · 05/01/2014 12:42

Better grammar on here than on Jezza.
Usually.

ilovesooty · 05/01/2014 12:43

lots of "he said, she said, they said"

Except that half the time no one says anything. They only communicate via a series of texts.

MardyBra · 05/01/2014 12:44

Roll on the bridezilla season, I say.

At the moment, it's all "mil is such a bitch, she wants to cuddle my baby lots and buy stuff and visit us, but it's my baby, my rools". (Usually with less punctuation).

Followed by "you go, girl. Don't let the bitch into take over your life".

A lot of posters here seem to lack basic human decency and / or are infernally unintelligent.

I despise the former category- those who grass up neighbours they suspect of benefit fraud, who underpay and maltreat au pairs then post threads defaming the poor girls, who give bad references to former employees out of spite, who have hysterics and cause family rifts over shit that isn't any of their business, etc. ad nauseam.

I think Jeremy Kyle's "clientele" are generally a bit classier than that.

ilovesooty · 05/01/2014 12:47

No, before the bridezilla season we'll have the DS/DD's teacherisabitch season. Starting tomorrow, probably.

MardyBra · 05/01/2014 12:48

I'm not so sure about the grammar, McSnail.

And yes, the texting sooty. I should have written "lots of I txt, he txt, she txt me".

OP posts:
LittleDoris · 05/01/2014 12:53

Hmm at this thread.

Let's poke fun at people who are less intellegent and have family problems.

How fun.

ilovesooty · 05/01/2014 12:53

I should have written "lots of I txt, he txt, she txt me"

Grin

And the very suggestion that the people involved might talk to one another is usually met with absolute horror.

candycoatedwaterdrops · 05/01/2014 13:12

LittleDoris Txt spk has nothing to do with intelligence and everything to do with laziness!

McSnail · 05/01/2014 13:13

Mardybra - I should have written 'from what I've seen' - I don't post much.

SilverOldie · 05/01/2014 14:38

I'm looking forward to threads getting back to normal, got heartily sick of wahhhh! they bought me/my precious child the wrong present, no present, not enough presents/too many presents threads over Christmas.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 05/01/2014 15:01

I saw 'wanna' in a post today.

Just like that.

Wanna.

And I saw a lovely funny thread written by HoneyDragon's DD and realised that there don't seem to be as many of those as there used to be. Sad

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 05/01/2014 15:03

It's just a bit less warm and jolly.

MammaTJ · 05/01/2014 15:04

Bring on the MNHQ DNA test! Grin

GlitzAndGiggles · 05/01/2014 15:04

Yep defo sick of all the ungrateful xmas present threads or one of their kids getting an extra present than the other so the mum does a sort of "should I cut MIL out our lives" thread
