To wish I was back in 2013

Had the most amazing summer with a lovely family holiday with extended family, fantastic Christmas and new year. Generally 2013 was a great year.

This year already has been rubbish, there is a big rift in my family, my uncle passed away today, I have to have an operation, the car is playing up yet again. The DC are so out of routine that they are playing up.

I just feel like this year can only get worse.

That is a lot to happen in 3 days and I can't blame you for feeling this is a sign of things to come. I'm very sorry about your uncle and family rifts are always a pain.

Can you just take it a day at a time for now? I'm sure you know that all hell breaking loose doesn't actually mean that the rest of the year is going to be on the same level of these first few days, but it is difficult to not feel "What next?!" at these times.

I am just waiting for the next thing to go wrong.

In a way I now feel like my uncle is out of pain as he has been unwell for a while, it is wrong to be thinking like this.

Just ignore the change in year and pretend it hasn't happened.

Why not think you are still in the year of the snake and not yet the year of the horse?
