To think dh should not eat the chocolates I like?

We have a tin each of Roses and Quality Street. We only have them at Christmas and maybe 2/3 other occasions throughout the year. I am hugely excited by having them - they feel like a real treat to me (I am a very cheap date where chocolate is concerned and don't like luxury stuff) - but I only like maybe 3 or 4 types from each tin.

AIBU to think dh, who has no preferences whatsoever and doesn't even look at what he's picking usually, should stay the fuck away from the ones I like? We only have them because I get them. The bastard sticks his hand in, takes whatever and gets arsey if I comment.

WIBU to wrench it from his hands next time he tries this?

You've got a tin each? Sort them out into his&hers if he really doesn't care.

HECTheHeraldAngelsSing · 01/01/2014 20:15

Take out the ones you like and put them in a little jar. If he really doesnt care and likes them all the same, then its no big deal to let you have those you enjoy.

Moln · 01/01/2014 20:15

Take your favourite all out and hide them somewhere, or hid the entire tin. It's the only sensible solution

Gosh you are mean.

TwerkingNineToFive · 01/01/2014 20:16

YANBU
Do they still do coffee creams? I luffs them.

Writerwannabe83 · 01/01/2014 20:16

I only like the orange and strawberry ones - I get a bit squirmy when I see my DH eating them... Grin

ayahushca · 01/01/2014 21:57

Does he mind you taking all your favourites out? If so, that suggests he must have some sort of preference (and who doesn't?)

If it IS all the same to him then I dunno why he wouldn't let you do that, But tbh you making a big deal of it does make you look a bit petty. Buy your own if it's a big deal to you.

Sort them into the tins, Roses tin for him, QS for you. Just the ones you like in yours. Job's a good 'un.

TinyDiamond · 02/01/2014 01:10

LTB. Immediately.

MsAspreyDiamonds · 02/01/2014 05:50

Try the M&S and Waitrose box of chocolates, they are lovely. Similar flavours to the Roses & QS but much nicer.

On a more serious note LTB.
