Possibly not in the way that is intended. Surely this is a comedy spoof.,.,.,

My 6 six year old has just said 'I'm not being mean but he does sound a bit like the frog muppet!!'

.....and now a jaz version of 'sure' love it!!

ds is concerned that his clothes are too tight and it must be making it uncomfy to dance

Dd would like to know what is the difference between Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams

sparklyma · 31/12/2013 23:46

He's rubbish isn't he. Bloody gorgeous though!

mamicar · 31/12/2013 23:49

a duet with himself Hmm

sparklyma · 31/12/2013 23:50

Some people definitely improve with age!

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 31/12/2013 23:50

The man is a muppet. End of. Rupert the bear eat your heart out.

TinselTaTas · 31/12/2013 23:52

Are you all deaf?! Bloody brilliant he is..! Happy New Year!

AlmostHadItAll · 31/12/2013 23:55

I'm with Tinsel. Thank god for GB.

HavingAnOffDAy · 31/12/2013 23:55

He's like some weird parody of...I can't decideGrin

He is good though. I just wish he wouldn't talk

Dfg15 · 01/01/2014 00:25

He's a awful - he's got dead eyes and the personality of a pumpkin and he can't sing

Alisvolatpropiis · 01/01/2014 00:31

I can't get over him voting Tory.

I mean, obviously I can, he's a talented singer/songwriter and does worthy things.

Nonetheless a surprise.

MsJupiterJones · 01/01/2014 00:40

It's all very Partridge.

bountyicecream · 01/01/2014 00:49

I liked him Blush

Shosha1 · 01/01/2014 00:56

Wasn't a TT fan ( too old) but GB is a bit like good wine, gets better with a bit if vintage behind him :)

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 01/01/2014 00:58

I love him. But I am a TT fan!

JeanSeberg · 01/01/2014 01:05

He's so desperate for that knighthood isn't he.

Mrsantithetic · 01/01/2014 01:22

I thought it was funny when he realises he couldn't hit the high notes in one of the songs so did some bizarre dancing and miming. Grin

Starlingsintheslipstream · 01/01/2014 01:31

I surprised myself by enjoying it but with his strange high voice I couldn't help thinking about the Aldi advert and expected him to come out with "but I don't like these tight underpants".

onedev · 01/01/2014 01:42

I love GB - he's fab & definitely gets better with age!!

shhhgobacktosleep · 01/01/2014 01:51

I wondered how the bbc funded by tv licence payers were getting away with turning NYE into a prime time advert for GB and his new album. As for only dueting with himself Hmm he absolutely needed some others there to add personality to the proceedings if nothing else. I don't dislike him, more indifferent, but tonight found myself telling him to go forth and multiply. More Wine required perhaps

ohfourfoxache · 01/01/2014 02:43

Oi, back off the Barlow!

I loved, loved, loved it - massive fan and he is actually a very down to earth, genuine guy. I've got a lot of respect for him and fancy him a little bit too if I'm honest Blush

ProtegeMoi · 01/01/2014 03:11

Genuine down to earth guy?

I've met him, he's a prick!

Liked him before that though.

pinkdelight · 01/01/2014 08:35

The audience was quite unsettling. Was like the Church of Barlow!

Bowlersarm · 01/01/2014 08:38

He's lovely

BohemianGirl · 01/01/2014 08:39

He can't sing, my 13yo referred to him as "life draining"

Misfitless · 01/01/2014 08:40

It was good, I watched it with DH, cousin and two of my DCs, but I know exactly what you mean...it was a bit weird!

I usually watch Jools and will be again next year. It all seemed to be about Gary, rather than the occasion.
