try and give you the short version!
Took two couples out for dinner last night (Christmas Present, old friends now livng abroad, over for a visit). Wanted to use a Gourmet Society Card (discounted food), stated this in the booking and again with the waitress on arrival who said the manager would apply it at the end. Discount not applied, went and spoke to the guy behind the bar who said the Gourmet scheme doesnt run in Dec at that restaurant - no notofication of this even though I had said it a couple.of times - and nothing on the website. Given £10 off a £200 bill by way of a gesture.
Also had issues with food items unavaliable - first round of cocktails declined as no mint in stock, second round declined as no puree in that relevant flavour in stock. One guest couldnt have the lager they wanted as it had just run out,.and we ordered a bottle of rose at the table to be told it was also out of stock.
All ordered starters - five of the six were unavaliable. Thankfully mains and puds ok.
Aibu to think 5% is a crap 'resolution' and to have sent a strongly worded email to their customer service this morning?
