To ask where the hell to store all this Playmobil?

Where do you put it? I'm not talking the little figures or tiny bits, I mean the pirate ship, the swimming pool, the house etc...

We have Trofast. We have Expedit. This bloody stuff doesn't fit anywhere.

I too wouldn't mind the answer to this question, my ds is now the proud owner of the police station and it's many accessories

I need the answer too! Watching hoping someone super organised will come along and help us!

Clicked on this thread to find words of wisdom! We have had lots for a year now and I would love a storage solution!

We had two ships (one pirate, one roman) and two castles (one fortified, one fairytale) and they lived on the floor for every day play with for several years, then on shelves for every now and then play/dust gathering for the next couple of years and now they live in cardboard boxes but not yet in the attic for grandchildren.

The best storage we've used for high volume /weird shape toys was a couple of under bed drawers.

I'm not sure how big they are, but what about a big wooden toy box? If you get a cushion it can double as a seat too.

Watching with interest. We now have the school, and nowhere to put it.

We have the ferry in a big underbed storage box

We have 4 enormous plastic boxes, one wooden chest and a few sections of an ikea storeage system full of the stuff. And it's still not enough.

Underbed storage boxes (swimming pool) and on top on the Expedit units (school, western take along set and red coats ship.)

Have had lots of fun so far this Christmas with my the kids' new playmobil.

I love that playmobil is still a fashionable present! I loved it as a child and can't wait until ds is old enough to start playing with it!

We have had almost every set - sold the mansion and fairytale castle, but still have the rest - Egyptian pyramid, huge roman arena about 3ft round... Castles, farms, horse stables, dinosaurs... Insane. None of it is ever played with as there is too much and none of orbits neatly in storage boxes. Might just give up and flog the lot :(

Well I've just been looking at Trofast and its not actually that big is it ? We have decided to do two shelves in an alcove (115cm wide) and put six storage boxes in there witht he top surface for storing the bigger models

I use this for the house and school and have the zoo stored in trofast large boxes underneath.

Our biggest bits (pyramid, pool) are on top of a toy cupboard.
Medium sized bits are in a cupboard (although not the same one)
Little bits are in a toy box.

If we get any more we will need a bigger cupboard.

We have shelves and shoe boxes for little bits and Argos pine storage frames that take normal plastic crates for larger things, that live in the conservatory.

DS has the airport, a huge crane and loads of large vehicles. They live (apart from the crane) on a Billy bookshelf in his room. DD has the school and loads more, and they live on the floor in her room, or in Really Useful Boxes.

Four hours it took me to put together the Playmoble hotel recently. I was proper cross a month later when it eventually came apart to go into a box because there was nowhere to keep it long term.

We have the Egyptian pyramid, sphinx, zoo, and a few buckets of other sets. Im going to donate it to the school wet play cupboard. I can't keep picking up the little bits and separating them into sets. A gift to myself will be passing it on. They've been under the bed for a long while now. Time to go.

We have a wicker basket for the farmhouse. The vet fits back in the box and the take-along school sort of floats around...

ohh iv got the big pirate ship (bargon at £25..that was abit showwy offy but i l ove a bargon n it made my day to find it so cheap )
its for ds2 birthday tomorrow..the box is huge.. im hoping its not that big...

im hoping it'll fit on some shleve in his room or at least the chest of draws if i move things about.

this is our first playmobile stuff and i'll admit with out shame that im excited about it .

Well you just have to have a playroom I think [wonders if we can afford an extension to house a playroom].

We have these sorts of things on shelves, and the Ikea Stuva storage benches hold loads.

Well, we are just at the start of our Playmobil journey . DD's 4.5, DS is nearly 2. We have just about every Happyland set going and of course, that's more appropriate for DS's age anyway, so we'll be hanging on to the two boxes plus various bits of that for a couple of years. This month so far we have gone from nothing to having acquired a farmshop, a house, a pirate ship, a swimming pool and various other smaller bits and pieces.

That will serve me right for suggesting to everyone that DD might like some Playmobil as she doesn't have any - and for telling my DM that Tesco had it on offer and Clubcard points could be doubled up.

We do have one of those M&D play tables but that's used for Brio - can be used for playing with Playmobil but not storing it permanently. The nappy changing unit is an inspired solution, I'm currently using ours as a repository for junk prior to getting rid of both the junk and the table. I'll look at the Stuva benches too. Any more ideas are very welcome, especially from others who live in Victorian terraces with small rooms and bay windows/chimney breasts/alcoves so no decent lengths of wall.

I am beginning to think the only solution is a playroom as EarSlaps says. Sadly not an option in this house!
