To want Christmas music after 25th

Music channels I'm looking at you! Hardly anything listed. I know not everyone observes the 12 days anymore but come on? Loads of people must still be celebrating on Boxing Day. People who have been at work, couldn't see everyone at once etc. Or just people like me who love Christmas music and don't think it should be all gone so soon especially since they start it in November when it's way too early.

I thought the same last year. No Christmas Music on Boxing Day or beyond. It's sad because some people celebrate over several days.

YANBU.Christmas to me is the week following Christmas as well as before. We are only just starting. Down to relatives tomorrow, and will be blasting Christmas music on the way down and whilst there!

Farrowandbawlbauls · 25/12/2013 23:49

I've got Christmas music on my phone and Ipod for this very reason.

Yes, I am one of those sad gits who listen to it all year round, but it makes me happy.

This annoys me too.

I don't want 'greatest songs of 2013' , hearing songs I liked in the summer at Christmas time is just plain wrong. It's still Christmas until January.

I want Cliff. And Slade. And that fab new one by Kelly Clarkson.

Snowhoho · 25/12/2013 23:59

I was just saying this today to!

I have Fairytale of New York (The Pogues not Ronan Keating) as my ringtone Xmas Grin

When DD and I are out and I'm looking for my phone , she's Hmm tap-tap of her foot "Shane's singing" .

Sadly, not enough people phone me Sad (blardy DH has set all my family contact numbers with their own ringtone which aren't FTofNY)

Am absolutely totally with you DrCoconut. Our tree only went up last weekend and it is still very much Christmas here! We listen a lot to Classic FM over Christmas and they have already moved on to the easy listening versions of carols and tomorrow will be all Strauss waltzes and such-like (nice enough, but not Christmas!).

chateauferret · 28/12/2013 18:11

Classic FM still seem to be doing plenty.

MrsMook · 28/12/2013 18:17

On a related theme, there were no mince pies in the supermarket. Hmph! I only eat them in December.

CrohnicallySick · 28/12/2013 18:22

And Lidl had packed away their Christmas display by the 23rd, Asda didn't have any Christmas puddings either yesterday, so I've had to do without!

Rhubarbgarden · 28/12/2013 18:41

Classic FM were playing plenty of Christmas music when I had the radio on this morning

Twoandtwomakeschaos · 28/12/2013 21:38

Yes, Chateau and Rhubarb, they do seem to be this year, don't they?

Chronic and MrsMook Aldi had loads of Christmas food, all half-price, when I was in today: cakes, puddings, biscuits ...... Waitrose still had some stuff in, as well, though the staff in Iceland were busy removing their decorations when I popped in!

skyeskyeskye · 28/12/2013 23:02

I saw Creme Eggs and MiniEggs in a Cadbury outlet shop today!
