Need to get a few wee things. Have a 24 hour asda 10min away so could go now. Am wide awake.

Might be worth getting the shopping done, though the weather is starting to get wild here. Depends where you are. Will you be able to catch up on sleep during the day?

MrsLouisTheroux · 24/12/2013 03:33

Awake here too! Yes! Go! Grin

ClausIsTrulyReal · 24/12/2013 03:35

Yeah, gwan, I'll give you my list, hey?

But if my intelligence us correct you're in a different country from me.

Bohhiss.

That's what a 24hr shop is for. Do Anything that will save you going there tomorrow. We watched a program presented by Shrek Wallace & apparently they watch to see if you enter with trolley or a basket, know how long
you will therefore be there, & man the tills accordingly.

I know Christmas is different but I think this technology has bypassed any supermarket I've ever been in. Go now!

trixymalixy · 24/12/2013 04:17

I'm awake and thinking about going to the supermarket too. I was at 3 today and none had any strawberries and hats literally all I need, very annoying!

FourArms · 24/12/2013 04:18

I went earlier this evening - was really quiet. Apparently Sunday was manic though. Just need to pick up fresh bread tomorrow now. Have fun OP :)

Newlywed2013 · 24/12/2013 04:26

I would I did after midnight last night!

giraffesCantSledge · 24/12/2013 04:47

Ah we could have gone together trixy Wink

Well I survived. Upstairs was roasting, they had some industrial heaters on! But managed to get the wee extras I needed - and the people I had forgotten about. (Sisters irritating boyfriend!)

At the self service till it kept freaking out at me and I got served by the most depressing sparkly woman ever. Her name was Cathie. Pronounced by her colleagues as Caaafffey (broad Glaswegian) and she was covered in glittery sparkly shit - including a Christmas tree on her head, hanging from her ears, an ASDA staff Christmas tshirt, jingly bell things on her and some tinsel. But her face was like this. Xmas Sad and she just grunted at me. Sort of made the sparkles less atmospheric when they are presented with a scowl!

Ha! I almost went to Tesco at 10.30 last night. Then chickened out - am braving Asda later on today in the hope that anyone with any sense at all will be at home mulling the wine. In the end as I lay in bed listening to gale force winds and rain lashing at the windows I was glad I hadn't bothered. What will it be like later, do you think? Have suddenly changed my plans and need to pick up a few bits to take to friends.

trixymalixy · 24/12/2013 13:22

We could have done Giraffes!

I got my strawberries at my local co op this morning. Best before the 25th, but they'll just have to do.

LuciusMalfoyisSmokingHot · 24/12/2013 13:27

i used to late night shopping with infant DD, get her sleeping on the work back, worked a treat.

bellsandbutterflies · 24/12/2013 13:29

We went to a party last night and after I'd taken everyone home, I went to Tesco. It was very quiet, :)
