...with a jolly message from MNHQ suggesting that we mail in if its an issue and a "we so love to hear from you remark".

Sorry but what a crock of shite.

So JH is allowed to break the law but nobody is allowed to discuss it?

Interesting stance from MNHQ Hmm

Jh?

gordyslovesheep · 22/12/2013 17:28

nope no idea

BitOfFunWithSanta · 22/12/2013 17:29

Really?

Darkesteyes · 22/12/2013 17:29

Who is JH? The only person who springs to mind is the Lib Dem politician

Golddigger · 22/12/2013 17:29

Was it?
I think they have suspended two. With at least 1 going to reopen tonight.
Could be wrong.

KatoPotatoHoHo · 22/12/2013 17:29

Nope

Golddigger · 22/12/2013 17:30

Yes the lib dem politician.
And mumsnet asked politely for no more threads about him until they have decided on their stance.

JakeBullet · 22/12/2013 17:31

John Hemming. ...so called "man of the people".

I would link to the thread in queation but MNHQ have..., er,.. deleted it.

Off here now as angry that HE can break the law and talk guidelines but we cant discuss it.

OP posts:
JakeBullet · 22/12/2013 17:32

Guess this thread is going too then.

Bye bye

MerryFuckingChristmas · 22/12/2013 17:32

How is the law being broken ? (haven't seen any threads, btw)

I assume JH is also "suspended" himself if all thread about him are "suspended" ?

SantasPelvicFloor · 22/12/2013 17:34

He is in contempt of court for naming two children who are in the care system and giving their DoB out on MN.

He admitted he'd done it but claims he has parliamentary privileges and can say what he likes

As I understand it

softlysoftly · 22/12/2013 17:36

No need backstory can't find any news about him. No news about his breaking the law and no clue why the fuck he would be on MN breaking talk guidelines? Confused

I do hate cryptic in the club threads

softlysoftly · 22/12/2013 17:37

Santas why was he on MN in the first place giving out names? Context?

MerryFuckingChristmas · 22/12/2013 17:37

He named at-risk children and supplied identifying details publically ?

Nobody is allowed to do that. But nobody

Hopefully, he will get the appropriate punishment for it, which should involve him having those "parliamentary priveliges" removed permanently.

HECTheHeraldAngelsSing · 22/12/2013 17:39

Possibly he can do more to the owners of the site than any of us can.

given that he's outed mners who dare to disagree with him, set his legal team on folks and made not very veiled threats it would not surprise me to learn he was suggesting certain possible consequences to mnhq that we could not apply...

ChillieJeanie · 22/12/2013 17:39

If he really claimed parliamentary privilege over a post on MN then the man is an idiot - parliamentary privilege only pertains to comments made on the floor of the House.

stickysausages · 22/12/2013 17:40

I posted in the other thread, sorry it's gone :(

DoItTooBabyJesus · 22/12/2013 17:41

Unfortunately, he is probably getting kicks out of all this attention.

Lioninthesun · 22/12/2013 17:42

Perhaps MN don't want to jeopardise any legal action that may be under way because of it?

SPSJSAT · 22/12/2013 17:43

Fixed that for you.

IamtheZombie · 22/12/2013 17:44

Which thread went?

Lioninthesun · 22/12/2013 17:45

Sounds like a vile little man though, all said in case he is still reading and thinking he WINS or whatever, usually the way with men who have to be in in a position power all of the time

BrianTheMole · 22/12/2013 17:50

He really does sound like a revolting little man with an overinflated idea of his self worth and importance. Where in reality, he's just a twat.

Skogkat · 22/12/2013 17:51

I'm guessing that deleting the thread would be better legally for MN (not just the post/s- due t responses of other posters pre-deletion) so that whatever happens as a result of it (law wise) can happen more easily.

JulieJingleBellsMumsnet · 22/12/2013 17:52

We haven't deleted any threads, we have locked it so that we can have the time to look at it fully. We also requested that folk stop starting threads about this as it will take us longer to see what's going on.
