When we were together he never did anything for Christmas. He would expect me to buy all presents etc and we had a joint account so just contributed financially.

He's just phoned to see "if there is anything else on DD list' as he can't get any of the stuff she's asked for, which agreed weeks ago to get! Sad

What did he expect so close to Christmas, and now he expects me to think up ideas.

Should I just leave him to it?

Why can't he get the stuff? Sounds like a twat.

FreudiansSlipper · 21/12/2013 17:19

Yes

it is not the end of the world if children do not get what was on their Christmas list of you make it a drama your dd will pick up on it

I take no responsibility over what the ex gets DD, what he gets is his business and i get what i wanna get her.

Just leave him too it, its his child too, he should know what she likes.

Darkesteyes · 21/12/2013 17:45

He cant be bothered to go and look more like. He will have to get his act together.

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 21/12/2013 17:48

I agree with leaving him to it. Its up to him to engage his brain and think of something.

What did you say to him when he asked?

cardibach · 21/12/2013 17:54

Everything you suggested is sold out? Seems unlikely. Yes, leave him to it. He'll find something. Just be sure he knows what you have got so there is no repetition.

SeaSickSal · 21/12/2013 18:03

He's a twat but I would help him out just so DD isn't disappointed.

TheBrotherHoodOfSteel · 21/12/2013 21:21

I helped my ex when he rang me every five minutes to ask for ideas for the kids. I don't want them to be disappointed so it's a good idea to help. Why do they leave it so late though. Weird.

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 21/12/2013 21:26

"Why do they leave it so late though?"

Because they know you're going to sort it for him at the lat minute.

When you stop wiping his arse for him, he'll start looking for the toilet roll himself.
