enhanced mat benefits being revoked

I've named changed as my boss knows I'm on here and I don't want her to know I am TTC!

Just had a quick word to HR regarding our mat benefits as I was told recently by a colleague that they have been enhanced since 1st of July but there is nothing on the company intranet about it (she forwarded an email she had received from a HR manager, but I wanted to double check and ask really why it wasn't on the intranet).

HR confirmed the enhanced benefits but then she said she had received notification from HO that they were going to review it. FFS it's only been 'enhanced' for not even 6 months and no bugger even knew about it.

I feel really pissed off but I'm not sure if IABU to feel this way? I have had one mat leave on SMP so I know it's doable but honestly six months and then they pull the bloody thing??

um, what are you pissed off about? Most companies don't offer any enhanced maternity benefits. And they may yet review them and keep them? Your colleague evidently knew about them, so they were not that secret (and maybe they were on the intranet and have been recently removed as under review?)

I know most companies don't offer enhanced mat benefits, I have already taken leave before with this company without the enhanced benefits. I'm pissed off that it's been almost a secret as it's not been on the intranet (HR confirmed that) and six months in they are reviewing them which will almost certainly lead to them being removed.
