Because apparently it's Christmas and this happens. Totally unapologetic about it too. AIBU to think this is ridiculous?

Er no YANBU. Surely they were expecting a run on stamps - just hazarding a guess but I bet there are often lots of people wanting stamps in the last week before Christmas? Xmas Confused

Bwahahahaha. What is the point of them? Have Greggs run out of sausage rolls and Perrier run out of water?

LaurieFairyCake · 18/12/2013 16:40

They will get more the next day though?

Every shop in the world sells stamps though so it can't have been hard to get hold of some? Confused

I once went to KFC and they had run out of chicken, and also tried to order from Pizza Hut and they had run out of pizza bases?!

TheArticFunky · 18/12/2013 16:44

I went to the Edam cheese factory and the posh burger van outside had ran out of cheese. Made me snigger.

TheArticFunky · 18/12/2013 16:44

Costa are always running out of milk.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 18/12/2013 16:45

Xmas Confused at KFC running out of chicken! They may aswell close in that case, they literally sell nothing else. Unless they were expecting a sudden rush of customers who only wanted coleslaw & corn.

I've had the same from a PO before TBH. Last year I think it was, I went to a different one to get mine.

MerryFuckingChristmas · 18/12/2013 16:49

Ridicklius !

WaitMonkey · 18/12/2013 16:50

Costa do always run out of milk. Hmm I'm amazed people can afford stamps, the price of the bloody things. Angry Shock

MerryFuckingChristmas · 18/12/2013 16:50

I have lots spare. I'll sell them to you. 30 quid the dozen.

lessonsintightropes · 18/12/2013 16:52

I went to another PO in the end, good job I'd borrowed DH's car! They were on strike yesterday as well Xmas Confused

mine had no sellotape the other day when I went to send a long calendar somewhere. All they had to do was sellotape the flap on the envelope to fit the size thingy so I wouldnt have to pay £3.00 extra (total £6.80, gift was £3.00!!!).

The PO is in WH SMITH FFS. I said cant they just get a sellotape from the shop? (and the sellotape aisle was just in front of them). erm no they couldn't!

Look out for the lazy PO not 'stamping' stamps. you can peel them off,and reuse them Smile
