To want my 8 year old dd to stop losing things

In the last 24 hours she's lost

  • her school jumper
  • One ballet shoe
  • Her presentation for her drama exam tomorrow (luckily we can reprint it all but its a pain as have to go into office as that's were we keep our coloured printer.)
  • her brownie sash

And now twenty minutes before we're due to walk out the door for ballet her ballet skirt has disappeared despite the fact I left it folded up with her leotard on her stool in her room earlier today ready for her to put on. She put it on about 40 minutes ago and has somehow managed to misplace it since Confused

I'm just losing my mind.

The worst of it everything she loses is apparently MY FAULT.

Grrrrrrrr. Feel like screaming the place down.

AIBU and please give me your hints on stopping her losing things. Please

AFAIC I would let her go to school/dance without the relevant equipment and face the music for it - that might encourage her to be a bit more careful!

Declutter? Less stuff and being better organised will mean less stuff is lost.
