every night one of the DC will wake up, DS is 7 but has ASD and can't be left alone as he has no awareness of danger and sleep very little always have. DD is 4 so she needs to be supervised.

DH is working nights so not here, It now half 9 at nights and they are still running around.

I feel for you, Ds is 5 and also has ASD and also doesn't sleep! He's been prescribed melatonin & it actually makes things worse rather than better :( Its very frustrating.

Gotten so used to waking up in the night now than on the miraculous odd occasion they do sleep through I still wake up!

I'm a single parent at the moment so there is no relief but I'm hoping it will get better :)

No advice I'm afraid but I do send hugs, there's a reason sleep deprivation is a form of torture!

I feel like caffeine is my only friend, I don't think there is a brand of energy drinks that i have not had. I find i am now just buying the shots instead.

Have you tried asking on the special needs boards? Maybe someone there might have some tried and tested methods. Do you have anyone you could turn to to perhaps give you a bit of a break? Even one night might be enough to recharge. Sleep deprivation is awful, I hope you can get this sorted

I have in the past posted on SN boards, not about this issue.

I feel like a zombie 1/2 time.
