How the hell do people do this? Do they skip around with mild contractions? I can't move from my position draped over my ball, I've had to direct DS how to bring me bread and jam and a spoon so I can make him a sandwich which he's now eating next to me. And where the fuck is DH?

Poor you. I hope DH arrives soon.

yellowGiraffe8 · 11/12/2013 18:06

Good luck! Has your dh arrived yet?!

stinkysox · 11/12/2013 18:06
Thanks Have you no family/friends close by who could help?
Wishihadabs · 11/12/2013 18:06

I have to say if you can't move, I suspect it's not so early. With dc2 things often progress quite quickly goddess luck !

Agree with previous poster it can go a lot quicker second time round (less than 3 hrs for me - I went straight from irregular contraction to having them every 2 mins)

if you can't talk during a contraction it's time to call for help.

best of luck op.

DH here now. Think it was a bizarre wave of very strong and relatively frequent contractions because they seem a lot more manageable now. I'm hoping this is actually the start of something unlike last night where I had contractions every 15 minutes that woke me up until 4am...

That does NOT sound like early labour!
