To never order from sainsburys again

This is not normally something I would do, but I'm spitting feathers right now so reach for the tin hats.

Sick child so unable to shop or leave house.

Sainsburys order due between. 5-6. Tea for said child, dinner for DH and me.

Delivery not on van. Totes there, order not there: despite many e mails confirming delivery.

after I told them a 9.30 delivery was not acceptable, an earlier slot has been arranged only after I did my top.

So, Ocado here I come.

I'm actually staggered I managed not to say the f word once in 4 separate conversations.

The level of utter unconcern from everyone I spoke to is breathtaking.

It took actual losing of my cool, after a fairly horrid day, with 3 people but delivery was just made.

Why is it deemed ok to drive customers to point of tears before a sense of accountability kicks in?

So frustrating.

Unlucky :( Sainsbury's are normally very good! I've had deliveries from Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's and find S to be the most polite. Asda didn't give a flying sh!t that they broke my eggs. I would make a small conplaint to the shop.

Sainsbury's are crap. Food fine, online/delivery experience? Crap. Ocado, every time.

I'm just so cross. This was my second order, and I had to count on their reliability today. Poor DS had to have beans on toast instead of a nice tasty tea.

You could hear the shrugs down the line IYKWIM.

I did ask one man if his wife would accept his lacklustre apology if she was at home with a sick child. Thought not.
