To eat DP's advent calendar myself?

He hasn't touched it since the 3rd! There are five days of chocolate not yet eaten

He says he 'doesn't feel like chocolate at the moment.' It's a bloody tiny piece of Cadbury's just eat it ffs!!

Go for it! My DD(2) shook her calendar and some fell out & we have been finding bits all day.

After dinner tonight she came up to me & said 'there you are mummy' and handed me what I thought was one of her chocs... Thankfully I didn't quite eat it... She had retrieved it from her pants having had a little 'accident!' DH was almost crying laughing!

Maybe he's saving them all up for a mass gorge on the 24th? I have to ask though: why he's got one in the first place if he's not bothered about it?

Do adults have advent calendars?

YANBU but just to save myself from any unpleasantness, I would just go and buy myself my own lovely big bar of chocolate and be done with it.

I expect I am being unreasonable (or will be told I am) to find it strange that an adult would have a chocolate advent calendar (or any advent calendar). Especially one who doesn't like chocolate....

You could just ask if you could have it. My DH would say yes (if he happened to have been given a chocolate advent calendar). Or you could buy some chocolate.

Just for fun cos he's not doing it properly! I'd open the top and slide out the plastic tray and eat em and put the tray back so doors not touched and wait gleefully til he "feels like chocolate" cos I've never done this oh no its very childish you could always buy another if you feel guilty as they are cheap now or buy yourself one

I used to eat the kids' if they forgot and when questioned I'd just say "you snooze you loose"

We bought one for FIL last year. he is 82.

The correct question is "why wouldn't you have one?"

Eating other people's chocolate is Not On. If you give him the message that it's acceptable, don't be surprised if your Christmas chocolate orange mysteriously evaporates.

Of course adults can have advent calendars, adults can have what they want (legal stuff anyway) ffs, otherwise what's the point of bring an adult.

I buy one for my parents, a bit of fun and thoughtfulness. They're in their 70's and have one on alternate days.
