To feel really sorry for myself.

I could not go to the London MN Christmas party last week because I had a deadline for a home exam on Sunday. I was really looking forward to it, was going to hook up with a lovely MN and take the train in. Then I could not go.

Today I was going to the Party of the year, a very good friend always host a totally awesome Christmas party, with gorgeous canapes, champagne flowing, the lot. I have come down with that horrible flu-like bug, with sore throat, temperature, dry cough, etc. I have cancelled the baby sitter and messaged my friend. I even bought a new dress. Sad

My life is generally party free, I was really looking forward to these two.

Same here, on both counts - shall we have our own Christmas bash when we feel better?

Will it help!?

I have real trouble just saying your name. Grin

You are right to feel sorry for yourself.

Have a lovely time MNing instead Xmas Grin

Hope you feel better soon, OP. I have been ill free so far this autumn/winter (I'm going to regret speaking too soon.....) but DH has what it sounds as though up you have. He's been thoroughly grumpy with it, and I really hope he gets better soon, for my and DCs sake, as well as his!
