AIBU to think DH should fully commit to his fancy dress costume?

DH is going to his works Christmas do as Napoleon. He's got a cheap blue coat off ebay which he will be altering and adding gold tassles to as epaulettes. I think he needs to go the whole hog and wear white tights too but he's objecting to the idea.
