We went for the first time today, with my friend and her little boy. It was great. I had to go down the slides with DD as she's a bit little to go down on her own. We had great fun climbing over everything. And she had a really good nap this afternoon.

Glad you enjoyed it!

I like it too - but I know it is many people's idea of hell...

MotheringShites · 03/12/2013 22:01

Love it.

Kasterborous · 03/12/2013 22:01

I can see it would be hell if you had more than one DC to keep an eye on.

Go during the school holidays. You will change your mind.

Wessex · 03/12/2013 22:01

YANBU. It's great on a school day!

Don't go at the weekend or in the holidays though, especially when wet.

Some would say steer clear of the ball pool too

Justforlaughs · 03/12/2013 22:18

It's great when you are allowed in with them. Total hell when you're not, and there are 150 kids running round screaming and you can't even see yours. Headphones and a good book!

BrianTheMole · 03/12/2013 22:21

I think its great. It means I can have coffee and chat for more than 2 minutes.

LimitedEditionLady · 03/12/2013 22:29

I like it on weekdays, not at weekend. My ds wont go in and play without me which is fine but at weekend its a bit crazy with 40 kids running around and vlambering around you everywhere.I like it less than I did because we have been so many times but if hes happy that is good enough reason for me.

Pancakeflipper · 03/12/2013 22:31

Yanbu to enjoy it.

But never ask me to join you. I think I am intolerant to the places.

MostWicked · 03/12/2013 22:39

I always used to love taking my kids to these places. I loved going round with them when they were young, and sitting having a coffee when they got older.
Of course it is better when it is quiet, but I didn't mind it when it was busy either.

Fairylea · 03/12/2013 22:41

I love it too... as long as it's not the school holidays!

There is a certain age when it's great - they run around like mad things and you actually finish a cup of coffee. And have time to mumsnet.
Though at that age, you'll look a bit silly going down the slides so enjoy it for now!
After school and holidays is a different matter.
