Bloody hell!

Just seen an ad for an electronic cig thingee during I'm a celeb.

It was so loaded with an oral sex innuendo I was nearly open mouthed with shock!!

Never thought I'd ever complain about an advert but I might just do it.

I know its after 9 but Christ on a bike!!

Anyone else think if was too near the knuckle?

I was a bit surprised that it got past the Asa, especially the 'I want to hold it, I want to put it in my mouth' part.

DirtyDancingCleanLiving · 02/12/2013 21:36

Can you try and find it on youtube and link?

I am v curious!

Binkyridesagain · 02/12/2013 21:37

I've seen it a few times usually with this look Shock on my face. I was surprised that they weren't standing in their underwear rubbing it all over themselves.

Linky for those that are interested in watching it

BrownSauceSandwich · 02/12/2013 21:48

Me and husband saw it a few weeks ago... Took a few moments of Shock before either of us could enunciate our distaste.

nicename · 02/12/2013 21:49

Not the sex toy company ad then?

MrsPresley · 02/12/2013 21:57

Well I must be getting old Grin but oral sex or any kind of smuttiness wouldn't have entered my head!

I've just watched the link, but if I had seen it on TV first I honestly don't know what I would have thought but definitely nothing smutty Grin

ConcreteElephant · 03/12/2013 17:33

'It was so loaded with an oral sex innuendo I was nearly open mouthed with shock!!'

I'm channelling my inner 12 year old clearly because that made me snurk most unattractively :)

Lambzig · 03/12/2013 18:07

DH and I were both amazed at that ad. Yuck. Surprised it passed regulators.

YouStayClassySanDiego · 03/12/2013 18:09

Hahaha Grin at Concrete.

It was grim wasn't it, no need at all.

< goes off to google Ofcom to hoist my mn bosom and express my outrage!>

The sexual innuendo was naff but harmless. What shocked me about the advert was that clearly marketed e-cigs not as a way of giving up cigarettes but as a whole new pleasurable habit of their own.

There are health hazards associated with this product, which might just be acceptable as a route to giving up smoking but which shouldn't be unregulated if this gadget is being marketed as a brand new (and harmless!) indulgence.

I felt tempted to complain about the ad for that reason -- but was too lazy of course.

farewellfigure · 03/12/2013 18:16

Ew that's horrid. I'm now hiding my VIP under the desk and pretending I don't have one. May have to swap brands. Bleurgh.

Oh, and mine is now leaving a horrid taste in my mouth. Grin

YouStayClassySanDiego · 03/12/2013 18:22

Yes it was naff ButThereAgain , I just felt that the whole 'sex sells' agenda was so obvious and over the top in this ad.

It's like the yogurt one which suggests you'll an orgasm if you eat it! [AS IF!]

Hate them, I blame that shampoo one from years back- herbal essences ; yes yes!!
