To be considering this as a Christmas present?

Have bought six cards and six tiny angel tree decorations (2.5 inches high) and two boxes of chocolates. I'm thinking I might wrap each angel and two or three (individually sealed!!) chocolates and give along with each card..

They'd go to both my flatmates, 3 good friends and perhaps more weirdly, my GP (who I know very very well and who sent a me a note for Christmas herself last year. But I still can't work out whether she'd think it was weird. Although it's not a big present by any means..)

Does it sound shit? I refuse to buy people big presents save for sister and mam, and previous years my flatmates have had mini boxes of chocolates and I think this might be better? (They're Lindt for start, which beats celebrations hands down!!) .. An old flat mate once bought me a lovely tree decoration as did a school friend and I love them to bits, use them every Christmas and remember where they came from it etc.. So this way they get the best of both worlds..

It's going to cost me no more than I think three pound per person..

Ethical issues with Gp being a whole other issue that I'm going to have think about, does it sound a good idea in theory?

Angels are actually bought but if I don't use them for cards they'll just go on my tree!

What a sweet gift. I'd be pleased if I got that from someone. I often give my colleagues something similair. It's more personal and thoughtful than a bottle of wine or tin of biscuits!

When kiddies were younger use to give tree decorations to their teachers, the kids use to love choosing them.

I'd be happy to get that.

No problems with that as a gift, including for your gp.

Tree decorations are lovely gifts I think, my children have a new one each year from their grandparents, each one holds a memory right from their first Christmas. Adults like them too, my sister buys me one each year for my birthday.

Sounds nice actually, I'd be happy to give or receive something like that.
