Ex has bought Ds a lego game for Xbox for Christmas. Retail £40
However, he has just bought HIMSELF a playstation4, so has asked me if I want to buy the Xbox game he bought for Ds for Xmas. He has used the game, and finished it.
He is keeping the Xbox.
I think he has a fucking cheek asking me to buy a game for Ds that he BOUGHT For Ds!

How best should I word my response?
Tia

Tell him to go fuck himself.

WhoNickedMyName · 29/11/2013 16:05

"Fuck off you cheeky bastard" just about covers it nicely I think.

OneMoreChap · 29/11/2013 16:05

FOAD would be my choice.

Buying a game for kid, playing it and asking you to buy the used one?

HeadfirstThroughTheTimeVortex · 29/11/2013 16:05

I would just reply something along the lines of , "Sorry I don't understand, I thought you have already bought a copy of that game for ds for xmas"

HeadfirstThroughTheTimeVortex · 29/11/2013 16:07

Just to keep the peace mind, if he didn't backtrack the next reply would definitely contain expletives!

I don't understand - he wants money from you to pay for a present for his son? That he already has and has played? Why would he ask that, so he has £40 to pay for a PS4 game for himself?

Cheeky fuck.

BillyBanter · 29/11/2013 16:19

I'm confused too.

He bought a game for his son then played it then asked if you wanted to buy it off him to give his son from him?

He bought a game for his son and bought a game for himself and asked if you wanted to buy that for his son from you?

He bought a game for himself then played it then asked if you wanted to buy it for his son from you?

Something else?

BillyBanter · 29/11/2013 16:19

Does your son have an xbox?

ScornedWoman · 29/11/2013 16:20

But why? Has he bought your Ds something else, instead?
You could offer him a fiver for it,.as it's used/second hand. Then you get a bargain present to give Ds from you, as Ds gets abother 40ish brand new present from ex.
Is that what he means?

CSIJanner · 29/11/2013 18:48

Right - as I understand it.

ExH has an Xbox.
ExH bought DS a lego Xbox game for Christmas
ExH has played the lego game already
ExH has now bought a PS4
ExH has asked OP to buy the now used lego game from him for her to gift to DS

In conclusion, ExH is a cheeky fucker and OP should use the old MN complete sentance of "No".

CSIJanner · 29/11/2013 18:49

Sorry - forgot to also note that

ExH is not gifting the Xbox to DS - the tight bastard is keeping it.
