To wonder should I go for counselling

I have this weird lack of interest in knowing what my friends are doing every minute of the day, or in taking photos of myself in my new jeans to show everyone, or keeping abreast of where my colleagues are socialising at the weekend. I am a bit worried that I am some kind of weirdo, out of touch with the world.
A friend of mine had a similar problem and went to a counsellor and it has changed her life. She now has 500 friends, knows what everyone is having for dinner, and on the rare occasions that she actually goes out with people she doesn't have to bother engaging with them because she has far more interesting things going on in front of her face.
So AIBU to wonder if I should also go to a counsellor and stop trying to have a RL?

Well, you seem normal enough to post on here to complete strangers like the rest of us.

I know complex but the problem is that a lot of stuff on here is interesting and entertaining. I don't have difficulty engaging with things like that.
It's the photographs of people's chicken dinners, the endless updates about their very ordinary lives, and the boasting about their fab nights out complete with pictures of a few drunken people waving at a camera that just fail to grab my attention. I know I can't be normal, and that these things must be very fascinating indeed.
I just don't know what to do Sad
