My dh wants to have a picture with all of us in the santa shot when we take dd to see him next week, I think its a picture for the children only ,I am not photogenic so hate having my photo taken, the older ones havent had family shots, only a series of them with the big guy, what do you think? its not a major row or anything just a difference of opinion. I just think its a bit weirdGrin

I am with you on this.

I think you should drape yourself over Santa. Your DH will soon decide it isn't a good idea Grin

I think you should drape yourself over Santa Grin Dh would probably think it was a great shot!

I would do it.

Following me reading an article (linked from a chat here) about a mum 'knows' she isnt photogenic reflecting that when she is gone, her kids will have few/no pictures of them together.

I now suck it up and agree that I don't look good - but at least I'm there in the pic.

Get it done - just because you didn't with previous DC's isn't a reason to not do it now.

(First time I've come on a thread and said 'your DH is right' Grin)

Or do a hidden mum photo? Throw a sheet over your head just before its taken

just like this

givemeaclue · 25/11/2013 11:50

Make sure you sit on santas knee

Agree with Tobago. My best friend's Dad died recently. He hated having his picture taken and so, at the age of 32, my friend only has about ten pictures of his father. His greatest regret is that he didn't make his Dad take part more in family photos because for him, it is absolutely not about what his Dad looked like, it's about having the evidence that he was actually there. I hate having my picture taken but am deliberately trying to be in more pics with my kids, rather than just taking the photos because you never know what the future hold.

(Sorry for being a bit morbid on a lighthearted thread!)

Grin at the hidden mum that is so funny. we have tons of pics with me in them, that wont be a problem for the future, I am just really thinking of the santa shot, its a child and santa moment , not mum and dad too moment.

actually we should take more pics with dad as he is the one with camera usually, will make more of an effort with that one.
