That dh served up with dinner

A lovely fiery chilli and coriander salsa... with a load of spring onions, extra jalapeños... and a shit load of creme fraiche stirred in for good measure

It looked like vom, I couldn't even put a brave face on and swallow a few mouthfuls so as not to offend

I honestly have no idea, he usually gets by ok in the kitchen, tonights dinner was marinated chicken burgers and salad, perfectly nice... then this blob of what looked like pink upchuck on the side

You can blame him for loads of things, even ones that have nothing to do with food. It's quite fun.

Nope, but dd1 got away with saying she doesn't like spicy foods and dd2 wasn't eating with us, , he bravely managed a few tablespoonfuls, but he's not admitting defeat, it was the last of my favourite salsa too :(

Oh. I'm the only person here who thought "creamy salsa" was a euphemism, aren't I?

Yup that's were I drew the line too Caro! This has been his worst creation so far, he tried to shame me by mentioning my blended curry vegetable soup which was not a winner, but at least I didn't serve that up!

Does he think the salsa is too fiery usually? I like things much milder than dh so would stir Creme fraiche into my own salsa to male it right for me.

Ask him to serve Creme fraiche and salsa separately next time...

Really zipzap? But it turned it bright pink!! No he didn't think it was too spicy as he added a shitload of jalapeños to it so I have no idea what he was trying to do, maybe he was getting it confused with my creamy tomato pasta sauce... which is actually edible :)

Creamy tomato sauce definitely sounds nicer than creamy salsa!

Maybe he was thinking of nachos - they often get served with salsa, sour cream, guacamole, etc. But they definitely keep everything very separate!

Look on the bright side - if that was the inspiration, just be glad there wasn't guacamole added in to the mix too!
