....the one with the teenage hoody you think at first is a wrong'un, but is actually leaving gifts ("because even though your eyebrows terrify me, you did help me get that B in maths").

I'm not pregnant or hormonal (although in my defence I'm a mother of sons -maybe that's it?).

I think it's just the emotion and excitement of xmas. Pathetic really!

I know which advert you mean and although I like it, it doesn't make me blub - and I'm pregnant and hormonal, lol Grin

The advert is lovely and the music (aaah, Bronski Beat is from my yoof )

But
But

I got a promotion letter from Boots and there's the photo of the boy hugging someone (? his mum)

And the boy is the DOUBLE of my DS Grin

TicTacZebra · 23/11/2013 11:29

YABU. I can't stand it.

I miss the 'here come the girls' boots ads.

DropYourSword · 23/11/2013 11:31

I did too Blush

In my defense, I had to search for the Christmas adverts on you tube because I live in Australia, so I'd watched a few all together in a row. And got a little homesick to be separated from my family over Christmas, and not having a cold Christmas. Hot sunny Christmases take some getting used to.

southeastastra · 23/11/2013 11:34

the smalltown boy song doesn't really go does it?

BlackholesAndRevelations · 23/11/2013 11:37

Would love a hot sunny Christmas! (but that's by the by... Haven't seen the ad, will look on YouTube!)

insancerre · 23/11/2013 11:38

perfect song- it's about being misunderstood

southeastastra · 23/11/2013 11:39

suppose so

ouryve · 23/11/2013 11:40

It made me think "aaah, lovely" the first time, but then I saw it again 3 times in the next hour. Bored of it already.

Have ASDA's ads been aired, yet? Do you think they're laying low after last year's reaction? Hmm

BlackholesAndRevelations · 23/11/2013 11:40

Oh my god! "because you looked after my nan!"

(pregnant and very hormonal)

IslaValargeone · 23/11/2013 11:51

ouryve What was the Asda one?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/11/2013 11:53

The Asda one was the Mum doing everything while the rest of the family sat on their bums.....and she smiled as she went to fetch a turkey sandwich for her DH
"What's for tea , love"

or something Smile

MickeyTheShortOne · 23/11/2013 11:55

Writerwannabe83 · 23/11/2013 12:03

Did they get lots of complaints about its blatant sexism then?? [smole]
