To be thoroughly fed up of headlice

That's all really. I check, I treat, they go...then a month later (long enough to make me think we're treating them effectively) they're back. It's costing time, distress and effort with conditioner and comb (three children with curly hair) and a fortune in Hedrin.

Sick of it.

Totally with you. My lot get them on a regular basis - one of my daughters in particular seems to be always infested. Worst thing was ME going for a haircut months and months ago, only to be told she couldn't use her brushes on me because I had them. Flippng relentless.

Found them on dd2 at toddler group today-she's two!!! Dd1 didn't have them til she was in reception at least.

all I can say is ditch the Hedrin and buy a Nitty Gritty. Comb religiously every week. You will keep the buggers at bay as you cannot stop people who don't care from re infecting via their kids.

Forget the hedrin, just use a nitty gritty comb!

You can put hedrin on and get rid, then they will go to school and pick them up the next day!

You can get headlice treatment on the minor ailment scheme through boots - not sure if that's through all chemists? It's free that way. I was about to shell out a fortune buying stuff but found this out just in time. There does seem to be a massive epidemic just now, no idea why. DD is 8 and hadn't had headlice until 2 weeks ago, and the chemist had loads of orders for treatment. We've got the nitty gritty comb too, and a huge supply of conditioner (24p a bottle for ASDA everyday value stuff).
