Heston Blumenthal cookbook related

18 year old DS1 is doing a catering course at college and mentioned that Heston Blumenthal is his chef hero.

AIBU to think a Heston cookbook would make a good stocking filler for DS1 or will the recipes not be suitable for DS1's not overly refined teenage palate?

Doesn't Heston just throw random ingredients in a bowl and hope for the best?

If he likes him then might as well

I have Heston's In Search of Perfection and would definitely recommend it. Fab book.

I'd also recommend Hugh FW's River Cottage Meat book.
