To call in sick tomorrow

How sick would you have to be not to go into work?
I've had a temperature and sore throat but no sneezing or nasal congestion and stomach is fine.
I just feel rotten and tired. I will need to drive about 2 hours to get there and 1 to get back.
I started only a month ago and I'm uncomfortable calling in sick.

Just take paracetamol and get an early night. You may feel better by the morning.

FortyDoorsToNowhere · 18/11/2013 19:00

are you safe to drive.

WhoNickedMyName · 18/11/2013 19:02

If it was something that could be helped with a couple of paracetamol then keep topped up during the day, which what you've described is, then no I wouldn't call in sick.

I think so

I wouldn't call in sick unless on my deals door that early in your employment. Hope you feel better in the morning

I had these symptoms for 2 days and woke up yesterday with a horrible cold Hmm

I would go in and make sure to take paracetamol regularly and drink plenty of fluids-and have a bubble bath and early night tonight!

That's really helpful to put it in perspective, thanks.
