So long story short I am in Las Vegas. Best hotel, spending money (as it was my birthday) but DH in a conference all week so on my own.

I can't summon up any enthusiasm to go out of the hotel, or as there are a gazillion shops in hotel to go shopping. All I want to do is sleep.

I am 44 and whilst this is 4dc the others were over a decade ago. I am 16 weeks and should be fine wandering around but I just don 't want to.

I am pretty confident IABU but don't know how to shake myself out of it. Came out of my room a hour ago to force myself to do something and just sat having a coke on mumsnet.

Kick me up backside folks - or at least tell me I am ok

Are you jet lagged perhaps? Do you feel ok in yourself?

Really, if your time is to spend as you wish and nobody is huffing and puffing at you, why not relax?

Are you happy about the pregnancy? Is it your first with dp?

I'd find it a bit strange being abroad on my own. If you're happy staying in your room not doing much then that's fine. If not, get out - you're sure to meet some interesting folks over there!

swim in the pool? I loved that when pg. could be jet lag which does strange things for days...

Netguru · 13/11/2013 23:12

Thanks for replies.

I blamed jet lag for first few days but body clock ok now. It is first dc with new DH but very much wanted- when we said I would come along it was before I was pregnant but it should not have changed anything.

I'm just not me at the moment and I can 't work out why. I know I'm missing out here but can't summon up any get up and go at all. Feeling sorry for myself which is really not on given the circumstances :(

I felt like this with my day and was only 33. Just wanted to sleep. I wouldn't worry unless you are actually feeling really down too, and it doesn't sound like you are. Just tired.
