I was watching her on TV today talking about her maracattack fitness dvd. found here www.amazon.co.uk/Miranda-Harts-Maracattack-DVD-Hart/dp/B00FXYJADG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384355442&sr=8-1&keywords=miranda+hart+fitness+dvd

Clearly she did this for a laugh (ish I am sure the money helped) but I am actually thinking that of all the dvds THIS is the one I am most likely to want to put on and join in with BECAUSE it was done as a bit of fun. AIBU to buy this dvd and lose 5stone and then be all fabulous (and probably meet Miranda who will want to be my best friend?)

yanbu i love miranda!

quirrelquarrel · 13/11/2013 17:50

She is try hard but we're all in on the joke! She pokes fun at herself, she's self deprecating, it's supposed to be all self conscious and over the top, she's larger than life. NPI!

OrchidLass · 13/11/2013 17:58

Och she's harmless and she makes my kids laugh so I like her!

Alisvolatpropiis · 13/11/2013 18:00

I don't get Miranda as a comedian. Though I like her in Call the Midwife.

She's on the list of people I don't find funny -
Keith Lemon
Mrs Browns Boys
Alan Partridge
Bryn from Gavin and Stacey
Lee Evans
James Corden
Ricky Gervais
Rowan Atkinson
Russell Brand

That is not an exhaustive list.

OrlandoWoolf · 13/11/2013 18:59

Miranda's great.

But I think she might be a marmite person.

TooTabooToBOOOOO · 13/11/2013 19:01

One of the reasons I luff her so much is the hatred other people on here have for her.

harticus · 13/11/2013 19:14

I didn't realise she irritated people so much - I will like her even more now.

Sokmonsta · 13/11/2013 19:16

Yanbu. She's such fun! I'm going to see her show next year Grin

OrlandoWoolf · 13/11/2013 19:17

Looking at Alisvolatpropiis I don't like most of them. Rowan Atkinson was good but I can not forgive him for Mr Bean.

But Miranda is fab. She just has something about her that's really nice and funny without taking herself too seriously.

sandfrog · 13/11/2013 19:20

YANBU. She's very funny and I'd buy this. Looks a great antidote to the usual type of tanned-and-solemn DVDs that usually put me right off.

Don't think Kirstie's enjoying being photographed for the DVD cover though, she's barely managing a smile!

lookatmycameltoe · 13/11/2013 19:24

She is SO unfunny. So cringeworthy. Awful. I've tried watching that show of hers because my mum reckons it's hilarious. It isn't.

Oh I'm so tall and clumsy and look like bloke but I'm soft and girly inside. Oh no I bumped my head on the door frame. Whoops. Grrrrrrrrr!

MrsDoomsPatterson · 13/11/2013 19:37

Aww, I don't hate Miranda, I don't actually hate anyone. She's just a bit lame. Good for anyone who likes her though, we are all different.

mrsmalcolmreynolds · 13/11/2013 19:38

tee I hope my nickname speaks for itself?

teaselweasel · 13/11/2013 19:39

I think it helps to be 5ft 11 and built like an ox to really get Miranda. Me an my mum know exactly where she's coming from..

dementedma · 13/11/2013 19:43

I think shes very funny

teaselweasel · 13/11/2013 19:43

Asked mother if she'd like the new Miranda DVD for Xmas. She's v excited and can't wait to get her maracas out.

hermioneweasley · 13/11/2013 19:44

I think she's brilliant. DW doesn't get it at all!

loveliesbleeding1 · 13/11/2013 19:45

I do like miranda, but to be honest I watch for gary. That's what I thought everyone was doingBlush

mamapants · 13/11/2013 19:49

Am only 5ft1 and I love her too teasel
I think she's the opposite of trying too hard though, she doesn't take herself seriously and its all just a bit daft. Sometimes its too silly and misses but in general she's funny and very likeable.

mamapants · 13/11/2013 19:52

I agree with alis list except for Bryn from Gavin and Stacey and Rowan Atkinson, who doesn't love Blackadder?!

Alisvolatpropiis · 13/11/2013 22:57

mama balls! I do like Blackadder. However it was all Mr Bean when I was a kid, hated it. It's always my first point of reference with Rowan Atkinson.

Heartbrokenmum73 · 13/11/2013 23:03

Oh I'm so tall and clumsy and look like bloke

That's just spiteful.

I like her a lot, my kids like her, and I know lots of other people (yes, in real life) who like her too.

Ludoole · 13/11/2013 23:26

I think Miranda is brilliant.
I so want to dress up as Wheres Wally? and hide in a shopping complex! Grin

BringMeTea · 13/11/2013 23:31

Nope. Don't get it. And the book. My God. I did finish it. I kept waiting for it to become serious or sincere or sensible. It is a very odd mishmash of autobiography and Jackie meets Mallory Towers. I cannot fathom what the publishers were aiming for. My DP's 11 year old niece 'read' it. Clearly not aimed at her yet written in a child like style. Weird. And not in a good way.

Snowbility · 13/11/2013 23:40

The book is pretty awful but my 10 year olds love her and giggle while they watch...so she'll do.
