Asking this as have read a fair few threads on the subject and a good few friends going through similar. AIBU to think that as a parent I would be devastated if I had to go from shared parenting in a couple to only getting to see my child for a select few hours a day, or a week? God forbid should dp and I split up I think i would die (obviously not literally) if suddenly i was restricted to seeing my children for a few hours a week (this seems to be the recommended time for bf children) or even eow and the odd night for older kids? As a mother i dont think i could cope with this, it would have serious mental implications for my health. Yet i know dp loves our dc as much as i do so it would be hypocritical for me to expect any less for him. (This is just musing btw).
