With student finance!! (I have a few previous threads on this, am now nearing the end of my first term and I still have had no student loan or grant)
I've written to my mp, complained numerous times and finally last week the guy on the phone said if he puts my loan through as non means tested then id have the money by the end of the week (yesterday) and my grant would be sorted and in my bank by the 9th. We're they? We're they fuck.
SF keeps telling me my uni haven't confirmed my place and my uni keeps telling me they have neither one telling me what to do apart from wait.

Are you doing nursing or similar? I only ask because they are useless. Last year I did not get paid any bursary until February having started the course in September. The online application does not take into account people who have a) not started university straight from leaving home or b) are not in husband supporting wife scenario.

If you have a non-means tested grant, you only get the most basic of provisions. Your university should have a welfare officer who can forward your case to the Dean of the uni who should instruct SF on your behalf.

I've done that. I don't know where is going wrong. Phoned up SF just now to be told my grant won't be sorted for another 10 working days from now, and my uni still hasn't confirmed my attendance. I don't know why more I can do. Each person is just telling me 'well we've done our part'. But someone clearly hasn't, meanwhile I'm owing my oh more and more money each month because they still haven't paid me.
