I don't want to be blue

I bought a pair of skinny jeans from Gap a few months ago, very dark blue. I have worn and washed them several times but the dye is still coming off on me. I just went to the loo in work and I have a blue bum Blush From the waist down I look like a Smurf and it takes a fair bit of ex-foliating to look normal again. The strange thing is, the dye has never ran in the wash on to other clothes, just me! Worried I might stay blue forever at this rate!

Jeans shouldn't be like this right? It's never happened before, is Gap just a bit crap?

Take them back they are faulty. Sounds like something went wrong in production and they should exchange them for something else or give you a full refund.

I would take them back.

Put some bicarbonate of soda into a warm bath to get the blue off.

I don't think I have the receipt any more and it's not a fault I can really prove to them. Worried I'll get laughed out the shop.

That's a good tip jingling, might give it a try.

Had to do that when a pair of red canvas runners made my feet and socks pink.

If you keep them, don't wear them with white underwear !

DontmindifIdo · 08/11/2013 16:45

you could offer to flash your arse if they don't believe you...

I managed to get GAP to give me store credit for a jumper that went bobbly after two weeks and I didn't have the receipt. They were shirty at first, but I'm a lawyer so persevered Grin

You don't need the receipt as they are faulty. Can you take a picture of your leg without showing too much to show them? The colour is loose, it's a manufacturers fault. Chances are they will have had others returned.

DontmindifIdo · 08/11/2013 19:37

agree with pudseypie - they'll probably had a whole batch of them returned.
