I just can't be arsed to do anything. Have a day off and have NO motivation to get up and do anything.

Things I could be doing:

Tidying DDs bedrooms
Washing up
Ironing
Sorting out spare room
Eating
Writing something up for work (2 hour job)
Hoovering
Tidying up whole house.

I will go with majority.........

My vote is for the sofa and mumsnet. Possibly throw in a bit of online Christmas shop browsing while you are at it?

EeyoreIsh · 04/11/2013 11:05

Well if you have a day off you shouldn't do the work thing, unless it will stress you out too much not to do it says the woman who hasn't slept well all weekend because of a work thing

Why don't you set yourself little targets. e.g. Do what you can in fifteen minutes then chill, and repeat x3 over the course of the day?

KeemaNaanAndCurryon · 04/11/2013 11:05

It's what I'm doing right now. Still in my PJs, sat in bed MNing.

Bliss.

Work can happen tomorrow.

I have a day off too but am waiting for a john Lewis delivery. They gave me a time slot of 7am to 2pm. No sign yet, I'm going to need a nap later. The ironing pile is winking at me.

Bowlersarm · 04/11/2013 11:13

Do some of it every now and then, whilst doing nothing in between.

The best of both worlds.

comewinewithmoi · 04/11/2013 11:14

I too, am doing v little today after a VERY busy weekend following half term. I vote for naff all.Smile

Rufus44 · 04/11/2013 11:16

I would do nothing, might throw in some eating though

ThisIsBULLSHIT · 04/11/2013 11:16

Haha! I shamed myself into doing stuff!

Took a load of shit upstairs and popped it in DDs bedrooms (Lego, clothes, hair clips etc).
Put a wash on.
Put some things in the dishwasher.
Made an early lunch.

Phew... Exhausted. Am now going to do what jointhedots has instructed an do some Christmas shopping.

Also forgot one of my options:
Read new Percy Jackson book in bed.

Must admit, have a nearly one year old so looking after him..he's pretty chilled. And picking dds up from school later, supermarket, washing, getting pe kits sorted, dinner etc ...so will pick up the pace later. Hoping to get a nap in first.

ThisIsBULLSHIT · 04/11/2013 11:17

Eating about to commence and might follow that up with a nap. Grin

Why do people iron any way.

Wish I had a option but already done my majority housework ( just got to Hoover upstairs)

Nice chilled out afternoon now :)

comewinewithmoi · 04/11/2013 11:20

Why don't you have the option forty? Confused

FunkyBoldRibena · 04/11/2013 11:20

Sometimes you need a meh day. Take it when it is offered.

ThisIsBULLSHIT · 04/11/2013 11:21

Might get DH to do the ironing, he owes me one after I did two parties this weekend and he watched rugby.

i've got ds8 and dd2.5 with me today. ds9 has gone to school. I had decided not to move from this extremely comfy sofa today. despite the mahoosive pile of ironing upstairs. but now i'm not so sure

Ragwort · 04/11/2013 11:26

Forty - I don't mind ironing in front of rubbish tv but I never understand why people hoover so much, that is the worse chore ever for me - just realised haven't hoovered upstairs for a month Blush. My DSil hoovers every single day (no pets or young children) - why Confused?

ThisIsBULLSHIT · 04/11/2013 11:31

Ooh rag I love hoovering. That scratchy sound when you Hoover up Hama beads or biscuit crumbs is addictive. Grin

Having now eaten some rather rank cous cous I am now going to go and snuggle up in bed with Percy.

I - hate- dislike ironing. Quite like hoovering. My house always looks cleaner/tidier.

Theas18 · 04/11/2013 11:34

my personal preference - half a day doing " something" and the rest doing nothing. Otherwise I get a bit guilty ..

ThisIsBULLSHIT · 04/11/2013 11:34

Also hoovering up their bits and bobs feet is usually the only way I can get the DDs to clear up their mess!

OP posts:
Wallison · 04/11/2013 11:38

I like hoovering because you can actually see a result quite quickly. Hate ironing though because the only result of an hour's hard slog is a load of clothes that then need to be put away, and you start off with a load of clothes anyway, so it's difficult to see progress.

Ragwort · 04/11/2013 11:40

Pity we don't live near each other and can swap ironing for hoovering Grin.

ThisIsBULLSHIT · 04/11/2013 11:51

That would be cool!

Just spoke to DH and he told me I have to go and dig up the beetroot and weed the garden. Shock not more jobs!! Told him to put the weeding in his bottom.

This is me today.

I am also DOING NOTHING, or more accurately VERY LITTLE. Lied in bed reading a novel till 11 a.m. Had a bath. Heated up some lunch.

But still managed to do a few tings Confused and will have to do more a bit later, cooking, driving, shopping.

But really just want to do nothing all day, so stressed and exhausted recently ...

THE REAL CURE IS TO DO NOTHING ALL WEEK ...
