Job interviews and Movember 'taches?

AIBU to think that there's nothing wrong with job applicants going to job interviews in their Movember 'taches/beards, as long as the 'tache/beard is neatly groomed? One is a chartered professional, the other an office worker.

Is this a generational thing? It is the older relatives who are making the fuss - ironically one of them is bearded!

Of course there's nothing wrong with it. DH has a beard all the time, why would it be a problem?

A couple of years ago I was involved in a mass recruitment event for my organisation in November, mainly interviewing young people/school leavers. Several of my male fellow interviewers had grown Movember taches and we wondered if the candidates thought they were stepping into some kind of timewarp and that this was how everyone normally looked.
