To think Graham Norton is best when he has British guests on?

Better sense of humour.

No bigging themselves up.

You're right - he's more relaxed tonight, isn't he? He can get a bit too star-struck.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 01/11/2013 23:22

YANBU

I don't like it when he has Americans on, they have no idea what he's talking about and it all gets very awkward.

PrimalLass · 01/11/2013 23:23

But not Elton John again please. I love his old stuff but he was not good there tonight.

MardyBra · 01/11/2013 23:29

I'd rather have Sir Elton than Sir Paul. At least Elton can still sing. Paul McCartneys voice has totally gone.

I'm starting to dislike Graham. His arse kissing is getting worse whether the guests are American or British. Its hard to watch.

Pity, I used to love watching his show

Heartbrokenmum73 · 01/11/2013 23:36

YABU.

It depends on the guest, not the nationality!

I give you Will & Jaden Smith (American) and Paul McCartney (British). All cack.

Mark Wahlberg is always good fun (taking over the lever) and so is Hugh Jackman (swoony swoon).

BoundandRebound · 01/11/2013 23:37

No i think he's a boring pantomime gay who should have been put out to pasture with Larry Grayson

MrPricklepants · 01/11/2013 23:37

I think last week was just the guests to be honest... It made very uncomfortable viewing.

PrimalLass · 01/11/2013 23:38

At least Elton can still sing.

Hmm, maybe he got better. I switched over.

FreudiansSlipper · 01/11/2013 23:41

on the whole yes

american guests it often sounds so rehearsed though i loved Mark Wahlberg and Joan Rivers

harticus · 01/11/2013 23:42

It's all dull as hell. Same old same old.

GN was great back in the day when he was on the comedy circuit being very blue - now he is just a BBC puppet.

GideonKipper · 01/11/2013 23:45

I think I prefer Alan Carr's show - he doesn't seem to give a shit whether his guest is Hollywood A-list or some plank from Geordie Shore, he's the same with everyone. I think he's hysterically funny although I know he's an acquired taste Grin.
