To shout about Geox shoes...

Following on from Mallow's thread, I took the advice on the thread and returned Ds's Geox shoes to the store.
They replaced them straight away, checked they were still the correct size and said if there were any problems in the next 12 months to return them.
I'm going to be buying Geox shoes for the Dcs regardless of if they like them or not from now on!

Result! :-)

I didn't see the original thread - what was the issue? DD has geox shoes and apart from the price they're doing OK.

WriteRight · 02/11/2013 09:02

Ds had geox last year and they lasted the whole year. Well worth it. I stupidly bought him some cheap m&s ones this year. They lasted two weeks before falling apart. Def false economy buying cheap!

Rhythmisadancer · 02/11/2013 12:47

Same here - crap M&S ones fell apart after a couple of weeks. Didn't see thread about geox, but will bear it in mind next time. I went to Camden Market yesterday and bought DS some Doc Marten shoes. Bring it on, playground footie!

Unitl this week I used to shout about Geox too, both for dc and for me. I have had 3 lovely pairs - and they andf dc's shoes have been very good quality and lasted very well.

Then I bought some shoes for me just over a month ago and they have been awful - they went really sloppy, had a sticky out bit in the sole, and finally, after only about 5 waertings, the stitching came apart. So I went to get a refund, clutching my credit card statement showing the purchase. They refiused to give my refund on this - without a receipt, they would only give a credit note.

Durable or not, I find them pretty hideous, personally.

neolara · 13/11/2013 14:31

My dd's geox's fell apart (literally) after a month. I took them back to the shop and got a replacement pair. These too have fallen apart in less than 4 weeks. I took them back to the shop and the owner reported that several other people had brought back this particular style for exactly the same reason. Not impressed.

Chippednailvarnish · 13/11/2013 17:23

They also offered to change the style to a different pair, so maybe there are issues with certain designs?

As for being hideous, I don't think I have ever seen a pair of black school shoes that fit our uniform requirements, that I have thought were beautiful!
